To support its coming all-Tesla fleet, South Pasadena will install nine police-dedicated "Level II" electric vehicle chargers and one "Level III" electric vehicle charger. South Pasadena is only 3.42 sq. miles. They will install 9 L2 chargers and 1 L3 charger, in addition to 34 chargers around the city. The transition to electric vehicles will save $312,000 over their 10 year life, primarily due to the lower fuel and maintenance costs.
